Share The Love is a new series of blog posts dedicated to the incredible charity work carried out by Unrulies across the world, supported by Unruly’s charity matching scheme, which doubles sponsorship pledges. This week Unruly’s Agile Coach, Rachel Davies, talks about her sponsored Memory Walk to help raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society. Tomorrow I’ll be walking 26 miles from Stonehenge to Avebury. I signed up for this trek to help raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society – a membership organisation which works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in UK. They provide services such as day care and home care for people with dementia, as well as support and befriending services to help partners and families cope with the demands of caring. Even

Ian Padgham) or his content. Fast approaching 300,000 followers, Twitter’s former Head Of Video is one of the biggest non-celeb content creators out there. When you see what he’s producing, it’s easy to see why.  Padgham was a super early adopter of the platform. In fact, he started the day before everyone else, thanks to his previous position at Twitter. However, don’t be fooled into thinking a 24-hour’s head-start is the secret behind his Vine success. As he jumps from Twitter to Vine, we got Origiful away from his camera long enough to talk about

  • The Emerging Social Video Trends Of 2013 – Part 2

Continuing our series on emerging social video trends, we’re back to discuss the little videos that have made such a big impression on the social web. That’s right, we’re talking short form content. Of course, Instagram’s much-publicized launch of a competitor app hasn’t hurt either. But only a few short months into this new genre of content marketing and we’re already seeing some recurring themes in

  • Most Shared Ads of July 2013: Could GEICO’s “Hump Day” Become The Most Shared Ad Of The Year?

For those who work, Wednesday is a cause for a mini celebration. Halfway through ‘the hump’ of the working week, you can almost taste the weekend. However, US insurance company GEICO has a very special reason to celebrate Wednesdays. Its ad, ‘Hump Day’, featuring a talking camel, has enjoyed extraordinary success, attracting almost 2 million shares since its launch way back on May 22, making it not only last month’s most popular ad on the Unruly Global Ads Chart but the sixth most shared ad of 2013.

  • GEICO’s Hump Day Ad Has Trended Every Wednesday Since Launch

There’s a lot to love about Wednesdays. You can get two cinema tickets for the price of one in the UK, for starters, plus it means the end of the working week is in sight. Halfway through the weekly grind, or ‘over the hump’ as our American cousins would say, and you can almost taste the weekend. But US insurance company GEICO has a very special reason to celebrate ‘hump day’. Their ad ‘Hump Day’ has enjoyed extraordinary success since its launch back on May 22, attracting more than 1.62 million shares and 5.3 million views – a very high share rate of around 17%.

  • Record-Breaking April Fuels Post-Super Bowl Growth In Online Video Ad Shares

Three Ads Launched In Same Month Make History; GEICO Has Special Reason To Celebrate Wednesdays, Says New Report From Unruly. Online video ad shares have risen by 7% since Q1. That’s according to a new report published today by video technology company Unruly, which found that, despite a stellar performance by branded ad campaigns at the Super Bowl, sharing activity increased in the second quarter of 2013. A record-breaking April was the main reason for the surprising increase. For the first time ever, three ads launched within the same month made it on to the top 20 most shared ads chart of all time – Dove ‘Real Beauty Sketches’, Evian ‘Baby & Me’, and Kmart’s Ship My Pants.
