  • Unruly’s Jess King ‘thrilled’ to advise Brand Safety Institute’s new curriculum

    The Brand Safety Institute (BSI) recently named Unruly’s Jess King as one of the industry leaders chosen as founding members of the BSI Editorial Board. The board will help design the brand safety curriculum for BSI’s accreditation program for corporate executives. In the Unrulyverse, King is Senior Product Manager and heads up the dedicated brand safety team behind UnrulyX Shield. Talking about her appointment, King said: “I am thrilled to be joining the BSI Editorial Board as a founding member alongside a group of incredible industry experts.   • Unruly’s CCO, Phil Townend, on embracing programmatic at ATS

    At ATS Singapore 2018, Unruly CCO Phil Townend took part in a panel focussed on how the industry can embrace programmatic and thrive. The panel discussed what the industry needs to do to support and encourage independent technology solutions, in a bid to promote a healthy and diverse ecosystem. They spoke about how possible this is, in the current industry environment, and what spaces will we begin see opportunities and innovations emerge.   • Unruly announces Christina Van Tassell to its board as Director

    Unruly, the video marketplace owned by News Corp, has today announced the appointment of Christina Van Tassell to its board as a Director. Van Tassell is the Chief Financial Officer of Dow Jones. She joined the company in November 2017 and is responsible for the preparation and reporting of the company’s financial performance, providing strategic guidance and analytical insight to support business performance, forecasting, treasury, taxation and governance.   • Sarah Wood makes the 2018 Tech 500 Power List

    The tech PR agency Tyto recently announced their Tech 500 Power List 2018, revealing the most influential individuals in the UK tech sector. The list aims to highlight the fact that small company leaders and independent tech evangelists are outranking representatives of large tech firms when it comes to being heard. Tyto compiled the list by collaborating with a communications research firm to develop a methodology that identifies and tracks tech influencers across twenty sub-sectors and nine influencer groups in the UK. Unruly’s co-founder Sarah Wood made the list alongside influencers from TechCrunch, Blogger, Twitter, The BBC and Facebook. Head here to see the full list.

  • Unruly shortlisted for 3 GroupM awards

    We’re excited to announce that we have been shortlisted in three categories at the upcoming GroupM awards. The awards we are up for are: Best Media Sales Person Most Innovative Media Best Engagement Media The awards are set to take place in Singapore during GroupM’s year end party on the evening of the 14th of December. Last week our Singapore team had a great time at the GroupM Malaysia Supply Summit, where our MD of Asia, Vijay Anand Kunduri, spoke about the value of context, and how premium media drives engagement and action.   • Elena Corchero is a TechWomen100 winner!

    We are excited to announce that Elena Corchero has made it into the TechWomen100 list . The Techwomen100 awards aim to showcase remarkable women within the technology sector covering a wide range of roles. Each year they publish a list of the top 100 women working in tech in the UK. Not only did Elena make it into the TechWomen100 list, but we also had three other Unrulies who were shortlisted; Gel Goldsby, Jade Vincent and Mariya Petkova. We’d like to say a huge congratulations to all the women who were shortlisted, and to Elena who made the list alongside innovative women from companies including Deloitte, Barclays, BP, IBM, Paypal and TFL.   • Unruly helps Piccolo feed refugee families over Christmas

    Unruly will support the ‘One for One’ initiative by baby food brand Piccolo; donating media across its marketplace of premium publishers to raise awareness of the campaign. Last year 15,000 refugees and asylum seekers experienced destitution, including pregnant women and new mothers. Piccolo supports the amazing work that the British Red Cross do across the UK to help feed these families over the Christmas period with its ‘One for One’ food donation campaign. Throughout December, Piccolo will donate one infant meal to the British Red Cross for every Piccolo product bought in Tesco stores nationwide, to support BRC’s work with destitute refugee families across the country.
