Jamie Oliver raps with famous faces in an epic anthem and an office worker makes a very embarrassing personal call. Yep, it’s just another week in Ad Land!
But which are the must-see ads over the last seven days? Well, after a week watching the best and sadly some of the worst branded videos on the Open Web, we’ve picked the five essential ones to watch so you don’t have to suffer too.
So without further ado, here is our five ads you should watch right now.
Enjoy and have a great weekend!
5. ZocDoc – Private Call
Calling the doctor can be awkward enough, but when you have your nosy colleagues listening in as you relay your self-diagnosis over the phone things can get awkward, fast.
Doctor booking app ZocDoc has whipped out the worst scare tactics to have us laughing all the way to the App Store.
4. SunnyD – 2015 Rollerblade
Remember the days when you thought that if you drank too much SunnyD you’d end up turning orange? And those annoying kids in the ad who went through everything in the fridge before finally seeing the massive SunnyD at the back?
Newsflash, that was twenty years ago and those kids are still just as annoying (but most importantly not orange!).
3. Food Revolution – #FoodRevolutionDay Song
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – using celebrities to drive word of mouth is a waste of money.
However, if you’re someone like Jamie Oliver who has a load of famous friends, a great cause at hand and a catchy tune, then you might just make the grade.
2. Nandos – Rapid Order
We’ve all been there, it’s been a long weekend and you’re in the line at Nando’s and you just want to order absolutely everything on the menu. Unfortunately, the extensive queue behind you prevents you from digging deep and going for it. That is unless you pack the lyrical spitting skills of YouTube sensation Mac Lethal. You’ve got to watch it.
Having shot to viral fame with his Pancake rap video, Mac Lethal can certainly hold a beat (and a lot of spicy chicken) down.
1. Pizza Hut – The Dangers of Selfie Sticks PSA
Stop everything! This is a serious warning.
And no, it’s not warning us of the cardiac dangers of milling into five pizzas on a Friday night. The ad sheds some informative light on a craze that’s taken the world by storm, turning half of us into narcissistic lunatics. The selfie stick.
Your friends may own them, your parents may even embarrassingly own one but, kids, watch this ad and remember – do NOT fold under the pressure.
