Unruly launches Social Display to help brands boost social activity
Unruly has today announced the launch of Social Display, an innovative new ad format that allows brands to repurpose and distribute social creative across its global network of premium publishers.
Delivered in partnership with Polar, a trusted ad format platform for publishers, Unruly’s new ad format uses Polar’s Format Management Platform (FMP) to allow brands to amplify their social media activity by placing social posts within publisher content.
“Unruly is trusted by brands to distribute their high-quality video assets into premium publisher environments at scale, and with Social Display, brands can now also distribute their beautiful social creative from social media sites such as Facebook or Twitter, through our programmatic exchange, UnrulyX,” shared Steve Sottile, President for North America, Unruly.
Unruly’s parent company, News Corp, co-funded the original development alongside Verizon Media through an exclusive commercial partnership with Polar starting in 2017. Together, News Corp and Verizon Media activated over 100 campaigns for brands like P&G, Unilever, Samsung and Audi. More than 1,000 brands have now used Polar’s social formats and see 10x the engagement of standard display formats and 5x the viewability and attention time of social feeds.
“Our new partnership with Unruly gives brands the opportunity to amplify their amazing social content across Unruly’s exchange of trusted publishers,” commented Kunal Gupta, CEO, Polar. “Brands invest a lot of time, resources and creativity into their social content, and now they can make sure even more people see it in a brand-safe, premium environment.”
Brands and agencies can activate Social Display programmatically on UnrulyX through their existing DSP or via managed services from August 2019.
