Media heavyweight to leverage the video tech industry’s most robust end-to-end product suite of content solutions to help solve the toughest social marketing challenges senior marketers face today.
NEW YORK – September 20, 2013 – Former Yahoo! Executive Richard Kosinski has joined video technology company Unruly as its U.S. President.
Kosinski, a seasoned senior executive who has worked in the media industry for more than two decades with such companies as Quantcast, The Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones and Forbes, will be responsible for Unruly’s next phase of growth in the Americas.
Unruly already provides end-to-end solutions for over 60% of Interbrand’s Top 100 Best Global Brands, and is the global market leader for branded social video marketing. The company has delivered campaigns in North America since 2007 and has domestic offices in New York, Chicago, Detroit, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Kosinski has been brought on board to accelerate the recent growth and capitalize on the huge growth potential in the social video ad arena. He brings decades of established relationships and cross-platform experience to Unruly as he nurtures relationships with senior-level marketers and their agency partners in the Americas.
“We are delighted to welcome someone with Richard’s wealth of experience to the Unruly team,” said Scott Button, Unruly founder and CEO said. “He is a highly-regarded and results-driven leader with a history of hitting revenue targets. He is also incredibly well-connected at the most senior levels, and will flourish in his new role here.”
Kosinski, who has extensive experience developing online products and expanding businesses both in the US and across the world, will advise on both the business strategy and development of new technologies, building upon Unruly’s analytical, predictive, insights and distribution product sets.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to help marketers solve their business challenges. Delivering new tools to help marketers effectively connect with audiences is something I’m passionate about. Unruly is the perfect match for me as their technology, insight and data helps marketers identify, connect and quantify success on the social web,” said Kosinski.
Before joining Unruly, Richard was Senior Vice President of Sales for media measurement platform Quantcast, where he helped deliver a significant revenue growth from the Fortune 250. Previously, he spent four plus years at Yahoo!, where as VP of Political Advertising, he led the ad division to become the category’s single largest online display media partner, and also established Yahoo!’s first category development team for the Business & Finance sector — the company’s single largest category at the time. Prior to Yahoo!, Richard spent 10 years at The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones, where he held various international roles spanning North America, Asia and Europe. Kosinski also has led the development of several new online products in website development, audio streaming and mobile apps.
