The John Lewis Christmas Ad Is Here – And It’s Monstrous!

It’s time to start rooting around the attic looking for your dusty, old Xmas decorations, because the John Lewis Christmas ad – the official start of the festive season in the UK – is here!

That’s right, the retail store’s highly-anticipated festive treat – as much a part of the Christmas story as mulled wine and Mariah Carey – has just launched on its YouTube and Facebook channels for the world to see.  And we could not be more excited!

The latest year’s campaign has along way to go to even match the success of last year’s mammoth hit, “BusterTheBoxer”. The ad, featuring a trampoline-loving dog, attracted 2,022,331 shares, making it the most shared ad of 2016.

But the signs are already looking good. The new ad, “UnderTheBed”, directed by Michael Gondry, features its own cuddly character in Moz, a snoring, farting, friendly 7ft monster who lives under a boy’s bed, and is definitely worth a watch.

It’s a heartwarming tale about unlikely friendship and compromise.
