Misunderstood Cars And Branding Pars: 5 Ads You Should Watch Right Now
After a week watching the best (and worst) video ads on the web, we’ve picked the five essential ones for you to watch.
This week’s round-up includes a massive rebrand, wandering pets and Zoolander getting animated with a speed camera. So without further ado, here is our weekly round-up of the five ads you should watch right now.
Enjoy and have a great weekend!
5. Ford

Ford challenges us to see things, and their brand, in a whole new light.
4. Coca-Cola

The ‘new year, new me’ trend seems to have rubbed off on Coca-Cola. The soft drinks company has decided on a somewhat philosophical brand shift from its 7-year-old slogan ‘Open Happiness’, changing it to ‘Taste The Feeling’. The campaign features 25 short ads that have been rolled out globally in a variety of different languages with the aim of bringing the product rather than the concept into people’s minds.
3. Visit Brussels
There is no doubt November was a turbulent month for Brussels, with the city depicted almost like a warzone by some sections of the media following several reported terror threats. Well, Visit Brussels is trying to change the conversation in its latest campaign to show international spectators what the city is actually like, from the perspective of locals. People all over the world dialled in to ask passers-by what it is like being there. Unsurprisingly, they give a slightly different view to the one presented by the media in recent months.
2. Axe

Coca-Cola is not the only brand trying to change its image. In its latest ad campaign ‘Find Your Magic’, Lynx (or Axe) steers away from the ‘lad mag’ content it’s well known for and instead tries to encourage men to feel comfortable in their own skin.
1.Fiat

Getting caught by a speed camera isn’t an image the majority of us would like as a keepsake, but for Ben Stiller’s Zoolander it’s seen as an opportunity rather than a caution. Fiat’s new ad perfectly ties in the promotion of the Fiat 500X with the release of film Zoolander 2.
