Fruitful Guides And Comedic Ties: 5 Ads You Should Watch Right Now
After a week watching the best (and worst) video ads on the web, we’ve picked the five essential ones for you to watch.
Our top five ads have some funny ads that will help you get over the January blues. So without further ado, here is our weekly round-up of the five ads you should watch right now.
Enjoy and have a great weekend!
5. Aldi

Aldi’s fresh advert features a mature couple going bananas for what we hope is a catchy brand jingle disguised as a commercial song. This type of mismatch generational advertising always goes down a treat. Look no further than the incredibly popular Hefty Cups campaign for proof.
4. Cillit Bang

From the iconic ‘Bang And The Dirt Is Gone’ campaign, Cillit Bang has come back with a video that looks more like an out-take from iconic 80s movie Flashdance than an ad for a cleaning product.
3. Old Spice

Forget Terry and Isaiah, there is a new Old Spice guy in town. This slightly less intelligent gent has some thought-provoking questions, including “Is there a limit to how much living I can live with my life?” making us giggle/ self-reflect all at once. Well played, Old Spice.
2. First Utility
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQwhrdnqrGA
This satirical ad from First Utility uses a team of unicorns to convey a message that all electricity is the same and all that really matters is service/price. And it kinda works!
“Just as our brand proposition is all about engaging and empowering customers by putting them in control, our ad seeks to do the same and grab people’s attention,” said Head of Marketing Paul Cable.
1. Heathrow Airport

Who else would you like welcoming you to the UK but national treasure Stephen Fry? Well, that’s exactly what Heathrow Airport has done. They enlisted the help of the comedian to offer some helpful tips on how to cope in Britain, including pointing a finger at some of our much-loved habits like queueing/ complaining about the weather, which will no doubt come in useful for anyone visiting.
