After a week watching the best (and sadly worst) video ads on the web, we’ve picked the five essential ones to watch so you can spend the rest of your time enjoying the weekend.
So without further ado, here is our weekly round-up of the five ads you should watch right now.
5. Samsung Mobile – We Are Greater Than I
There is no ‘I’ in team, or in Samsung for that matter.
Just in time for the Tour de France 2015, Samsung has partnered up with Trek Factory Racing team to celebrate those who #ridefor the greater good for their team (hint, not Mr. Armstrong).
The video shows the grueling training athletes put their bodies through and the pride they take in being part of a team.
So, saddle up and enjoy the inspiring ride (from the comfort of your desk, of course!).
4. Subaru Impreza – Dream Weekend
It would appear that we are in the height of ‘dog-vert’ season and what a season it is!
A couple of week’s ago, ‘Denali‘ took the top spot in our round-up, Patagonia’s beautifully heart-wrenching short film about a man’s last trip with his faithful, dying dog. There were very few dry eyes in Unruly HQ that day, and we were warned that it didn’t exactly encourage that ‘Friday feeling‘.
Here we have Subaru’s side of the story, with a happy ending: A man and a dog sharing and celebrating a lifetime of love together.

3. Smart Car – Kids
Holy smokes you will not believe the filth coming out of these little kids’ mouths.
Smart Car has resorted to using potty-mouthed infants in its latest campaign with the logic that when you drive the wrong car you say the wrong words, and we’ve all been there when a Freudian slip has been added to the not-so-wide vocabulary of a nearby toddler.
This time, it’s not our fault. So, sit back and enjoy these toddlers talking trash – guilt-free!
2. Kleenex – Unlikely Best Friends
When brainstorming how to boost product demand, some mastermind at Kleenex HQ came up with the ingenious idea to create campaigns so touching that people would have no choice but to use up all their tissues cleaning up their tear-streamed, snotty faces. Emotional advertising at its best.
But how do you create such an emotional ad, you ask? It seems Kleenex have the perfect reciepe.
Just pass the tissues already.
1. Always #LikeAGirl – Unstoppable
Always is kicking gender stereotypes ass and taking names – yet again!
Last summer, the feminine product brand unleashed the legendary #LikeAGirl campaign and kicked the balls right out of the Super Bowl stadium with a hugely popular extended version. The video was shared over 1.9 million times, making it the 36th most shared ad of all time. Last Tuesday, a follow-up was released and we have news for you – it is just as epic.
In the spot, the Procter & Gamble brand asks a group of girls how they feel when society boxes them into expected roles… And then gets them to smash up those boxes!
