Women In Footie And An Adorable Puppy: 5 Ads You Should Watch Right Now
A man gets the best sleep of his life and another finds his soulmate in a puppy. That’s right, it’s just another week in AdLand!
After a week watching the best (and worst) video advertisements on the net, we’ve picked the five essential ones to watch so you can spend the rest of your time enjoying the weekend.
So without further ado, here is our weekly round-up of the five ads you should watch right now.
Enjoy and have a great weekend!
5. Mercedes-Benz: Spot Shock
It’s rare that a brand gets an ad so right that you can’t stop clicking the repeat button – but this is one of those fine moments.
Mercedes-Benz warns that its new Smart Fourfour car is so small you may forget it can fit backseat passengers.
Wait for it…
4. EA Sports: FIFA 16 Trailer
As one of the most requested features in recent years, EA Sports has included women’s football teams for the first time ever in its popular videogame franchise FIFA 16.
In the trailer for the new game, we see a host of familiar female footy faces from 12 national teams proudly announcing, “We’re in the game”, while morphing into their gaming avatars.
It’s about time a bit of girl power was injected into gaming!
3. Beautyrest: Bullhorn Anthem
I don’t know about you, but most mornings I can barely get my clothes on the right way, never mind waking up in a chirpy mood. But when one of those glorious rare mornings comes around (the kind where I don’t feel like killing my housemates for taking too long in the shower) I need to tell the world how good I feel, just like the guy in this Beautyrest ad.
2. Disney: Playmation Official Announcement Trailer
Disney has just unleashed an ad that will make you wish you were 10 years old again.
In the official announcement trailer, we get a motion picture glimpse into the imagination of a child playing with new toy/video game hybrid, Playmation.
Pitched as the next step in the evolution of play, Playmation brings motion sensor technology, Bluetooth and cloud connectivity to wearable devices and traditional action figures.
Fantastic, now bring us a time machine!
1. Purina: Puppyhood
If you don’t want to be convinced into buying a puppy today then look away now. I mean it.
Produced by BuzzFeed, this new campaign for Purina pet food has been shared 34,200 times since its release last Friday and with good reason. The short story follows a man’s bond with a new puppy he spontaneously bought – and it’s absolutely adorable.
Never before have there been so many ‘awes’ and ‘coos’ heard around Unruly HQ than when this ad was sent around.
