Timberlake The Lime And Fashion That’s A Crime: 5 Ads You Should Watch Right Now

Justin Timberlake plays a celebrity lime, angels lose their wings and Lionel Messi becomes Iron Man. Yep, it’s just another week in Adland.

After a week watching the best (and worst) video advertisements on the net, we’ve picked the five essential ones to watch so you can spend the rest of your time enjoying the weekend.

So without further ado, here is our weekly round-up of the five ads you should watch right now.

Enjoy and have a great weekend!

5. H&M – Summer Starts Now

Natasha Poly, Doutzen Kroes, Adriana Lima and Joan Smalls are more like Charlie’s Angels than Victoria’s in H&M’s latest campaign. The four genetically blessed supermodels have shed their infamous wings but couldn’t give up their their bikini habits.

With this year’s hit summer jam “Sun is Shining” by house duo Axwell & Ingrosso pumping out, we see the ladies skydiving out of planes so they can get to their catwalk on the beach.

4. Fashion Revolution – The 2 Euro T-Shirt Social Experiment

When we shop for fashion, we want it at a bargain, but do we ever stop and think about who pays the price for our thrifty ways?

In a bid to show that people care about causes when they are informed, Fashion Revolution put a vending machine in the street selling €2 t-shirts. Those who attempted to buy one were met with an impactful video introducing Manisha, one of millions working for as little as 13 cents an hour, 16 hours a day to make cheap clothing.

Once the video was over the machine gives shoppers the choice to buy the t-shirt or donate their €2 and every single one donated.

3. Sauza 901 – No Limes Needed

Sauza 901 has teamed up with pop superstar Justin Timberlake in its latest campaign to promote a triple-distilled tequila that doesn’t need to be followed up with a sour lime to get rid of the after-taste.

In No Limes Needed, we meet a has-been lime star, Rick “Sour” Vane, who shot to fame when he was discovered as the cure to tequila-induced ‘pucker face’. You couldn’t have a party without Rick back in the day, but since Sauza 901 introduced its new tequila those days are well and truly gone.

2. Huggies Brasil – Meeting Murilo

Seeing your baby for the first time on an ultrasound is one of the most special and exciting days of a woman’s life, but for expectant mother Tatiana it’s different as she is visually impaired and will never be able to see her child.

In a bid to express how Huggies is concerned about every moment between a mother and her baby, the brand surprised Tatiana with a 3D printed scan of her unborn son so she would be able to touch him and get a sense of what he looks like.

This ad plays at the heartstrings and shows how emotions are so important to advertisers, which you can read more about here.

1. Samsung Mobile and Marvel – Assemble Part 1

To celebrate the release of The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, Samsung Mobile has released a series of epic ads with some famous sporting faces.

In Part 1, we see FC Barcelona forward Lionel Messi, NFL player Eddie Lacy, Hawaiian surfer John John Florence and Swiss cycling star Fabian Cancellara get matched up as their respective Avengers characters and assemble with cute super fan Bobby to simulate the superpowers of ‘Earth’s mightiest heroes’.

If you’ve ever dreamed of becoming a superhero, it’s now possible!
