Singalong Election And Golfing Perfection: 5 Ads You Should Watch Right Now

David Cameron playing the grand piano, golf and urine leakage. It may sound like the worst political party broadcast of all time, but in fact they’re all the things that feature in this week’s round-up.

After a week watching the best (and worst) video advertisements on the net, we’ve picked the five essential ones to watch so you can spend the rest of your time enjoying the, hopefully sunny, weekend.

So without further ado, here is our weekly round-up of the five ads you should watch right now.

Enjoy and have a great weekend!

5. TENA Men – Control

Urine leakage could, for most people, be a bit of an awkward subject, but not for gold medalist at life Stirling Gravitas, who at his ‘certain age’ is in control of all aspects of his life .

4. The Green Party – Change The Tune

We knew the rapidly growing role of social media in election campaigning would certainly change things, but we really, really didn’t expect to see a parody with David Cameron crooning away on a grand piano coming our way. Things have got weird but at least it’s fantastically entertaining.

3. adidas – Here’s to the Takers

According to adidas, good things come to those who take. In the latest short film for the brand’s new global campaign, Sport 15, we see the see flashes of epic moments from some of the world’s top athletes while the drum beat of “Undeniable” by Donny Daydream gets us all pumped.

This may well be just the inspiration we need to get our asses up and into the gym this weekend. Maybe.

2. Nike – Ripple

We’ve all had heroes growing up yet very few of us have had the chance to emulate them. Rory McIlroy has.

His sponsor since 2013, Nike, cleverly features Rory along with another of its shining stars in its latest ad to tell the inspiring true story of a dream that came true.

We see a young Rory growing up in County Down following his sports hero Tiger Woods‘ career while he himself tries to master the game.  The ad comes to a climax with a goosebump-inducing piano tune followed by a shot of Rory competing alongside his hero.

Creative agency Wieden + Kennedy has definitely swung the ball out of the golf course with this one!

1. Dove – #ChooseBeautiful

Always encouraging us to feel good about ourselves, the team over at Dove has created a fantastic campaign once again for their latest campaign #ChooseBeautiful.

In the video, we see women in  San Francisco, Shanghai, Delhi, London and Sao Paulo approach a building, where they have to make a choice between two doors labelled ‘average’ and ‘beautiful’ based on which one they perceived as the best representation of themselves.

The lovely premise of the campaign is that beauty is a choice we can make, so make sure you choose beautiful this weekend!
