5. Bud Light

Budweiser’s mother company, Anheuser-Busch InBev are all-stars when it comes to #SB50 ads. Over the years, Budweiser has flooded the internet with viral ads from lost puppies to emotionally distraught horses. This year however, celebrities are taking over the Super Bowl with appearances from Ryan Renolds, Christopher Walken and Dame Helen Mirren. Bud Light have tapped Amy Schumer and Seth Rogan to lead ‘The Bud Light Party’, well timed for joining the presidential debate conversation across social media.
4. Mountain Dew

Like their UK equivalent Irn Bru, Moutain Dew has never been one to shy away from the quirky/ bizarre side of advertising. Energy drink brands have always dug out a niche in Adland in creating some strikingly odd but hilarious campaigns. Their Super Bowl slot features ‘Puppymonkeybaby’, a tribrid of a baby/ animals which makes it difficult to comprehend what you have just watched.
3. Heinz

Super Bowl 50 wouldn’t be the same without an appearance from our canine friends. Heinz’ game day spot features some adorable wiener dogs dressed exactly as their name describes. This slo-mo clip showing a selection of Heinz products being embraced by an army of hot dogs.
2. T-Mobile

In a first for T-Mobile, a first for Drake and a first for Instagram – the ‘Restricted Bling’ #SB50 slot was released as the first 60-second video on Instagram. Their ad features ‘Hotline Bling’ artist Drake whos song is an entity in itself across social media. T-Mobile are certainly looking to get in on a slice of the online buzz action.
- Audi

Audi’s ‘Commander’ Super Bowl entry is our favourite ad of the week. The combination of a nostalgia mixed with the automotive beauty of the Audi R8 and the sounds of David Bowie’s ‘Starman’ culminates to a powerful and warming spot. This ad shows the impact a strong soundtrack can have in advertising.
