Great Scott! Unruly Celebrates Future Video Lab Launch In London With Back To The Future Themed Party

Unruly went Back to the Future last week to celebrate the launch of our new Future Video Lab.

Brands and agencies grabbed their hoverboards on Back to the Future Day (October 21, 2015 – the day Michael J Fox’s Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd’s Doc Brown travelled to in Back to the Future 2) and whizzed over to Unruly’s HQ in Shoreditch to open our new lab in style.

With the number of ad block users accelerating faster than a DeLorean on its way to 88mph and 95% of UK consumers considering using ad blocking software, the future is far from certain for advertisers.

Unruly’s new lab gives brands and agencies what they need to survive the “AdBlockalypse”, helping marketers future-proof their digital video strategies to create ads that people want to watch, delivered in way that organically fits in with a user’s natural online experience.

Guests were welcomed by a dress-up photo booth with movie props, a recreation of the Enchantment Under The Sea Dance scene from the popular movie franchise and Back To The Future-inspired drinks. Great Scotch!

Unruly co-founder and co-CEO Sarah Wood then kicked things off by saying, “I am going to talk at 88mph because that’s how fast you have to move to get to the future!”

This new, cluttered era of advertising requires a new approach – and Sarah demonstrated the Future Video Lab’s ability to teach brands and agencies how to future-proof their video strategies as advertising moves through an historic shift.

Brands and agencies come to the lab for an interactive overview of the online video ecosystem, customized real-time data and best practices on how to use targeting and distribution strategies to cut through the clutter and beat the ad blockers. The Future Video Lab helps brands future-proof their online marketing strategy, reconnect with their consumers and survive the adpocalypse.
