Space Jam And Old Spice Slam: 5 Ads You Should Watch Right Now
Erica Cantona finally swims the Channel (well, sort of!) and Space Jam returns! It’s just another week in Adland!
After a week watching the best (and worst) video advertisements on the net, we’ve picked the five essential ones to watch so you can spend the rest of your time enjoying the, hopefully sunny, weekend.
So without further ado, here is our weekly round-up of the five ads you should watch right now.
Enjoy and have a great weekend!
5. Jordan: The Dunk to End All Dunks
Basketball star Blake Griffin is one of the greatest dunkers in the NBA. But even he has his work cut out beating a cartoon Martian with a laser, a special basketball and a seemingly inexhaustible supply of cartoon aliens to help him.
Thankfully for the LA Clippers star, he has a pair of the latest Nike Jordan sneakers to help him save the day.
4. adidas: Create Your Own Game feat. Messi, Bale, James, Özil
Famous footballers Lionel Messi, Gareth Bale, Thomas Müller, James Rodríguez and Mesut Özil all feature in this latest soccer ad from adidas. It shows the amount of work, preparation and practice each of them does each day to hone their skills.
However, the real excitement in this ad comes from the array of freestyler footballers on show.
3. BarBQ Plaza Thailand: The Waiter’s Mom
From “Unsung Hero” to “Silence of Love”, Thailand is certainly getting a reputation as the creator of some of the biggest tearjerkers in the ad industry. And “The Waiter’s Mom”, created for Mother’s Day, is no different.
Get the tissues ready. You have been warned.
2. Kronenbourg: Cantona Swims the Channel #LeBigSwim
After what has felt like years talking about swimming the Channel, French football legend Eric Cantona finally gets his feet wet in this latest ad from French beer brand Kronenberg.
Will he do it? Will he cheat? Do the seagulls follow the trawler?
1. Old Spice: And So It Begins
It has finally happened. After years as the faces of Old Spice, Isaiah Mustafa and Terry Crews for the first time finally appear in the same ad together.
But which do you prefer? The slick, smooth Mustafa, or the zany, in-your-face Crews? The choice is yours.
