Running, Swimming And Pogo Sticking In The Name Of Diversity!

Could you run, swim, hop or even pogo stick 31km in 31 days? Well, that’s what three teams of Unrulies have signed up to do to raise some much-needed cash for a new initiative designed to make Adland more diverse and inclusive.

The three four-man squads – taken from our Finance, EQ and Commercial teams — will battle it out with the rest of the media industry as part of The Brixton Finishing School’s #31Challenge.

The amazing initiative was created by the award-winning youth mobility and employment project to raise money for a new virtual learning scheme, created to give students and graduates the skills they need to break into the UK media industry.

According to the school, 31% of students and graduates about to enter the media industry feel their race is the biggest barrier to entry.

Hayley Cox, People Team Manager at Unruly, said: “The Brixton Finishing School is an incredible vehicle for driving change within our industry. It’s so important that Adland gives a voice to new, raw talent looking to break into the industry. We’ve loved working with them over the years and can’t wait to see all the ways people will be trying to get to 31km!.”

To complete the challenge, teams must collectively reach 31km in 31 days by any means possible – running, cycling, pogo-sticking, swimming…anything goes!
