Bloom & Wild’s Aron Gelbard Gives Inspiring Leadership Talk At Unruly

Bloom & Wild CEO Aron Gelbard visited Unruly yesterday to talk about how he helped turn his flower delivery company into such a blooming success.

Gelbard talked about leadership and building a culture of innovation at a Q&A held with senior members of Unruly staff at our new HQ in Whitechapel.

His advice for anyone thinking about setting up their own business? “Don’t spend time worrying about whether you are ready. Just go for it!”

The former management consultant launched Bloom & Wild Flowers, named one of Britain’s 50 most innovative companies last year by Bloomberg, with his business partner Ben Stanway back in 2013.

The delivery service has since blossomed, receiving £3.75m in funding this February from German media brand Hubert Burda’s venture arm and earlier investor MMC Ventures, along with other angels.

They now have over 30 members of staff and plan to use the latest round of investment to fuel further European expansion – they now deliver in Ireland.
