CES: What Are The Most Shared Mobile Handset And Tablet Ads?

The world’s brightest engineers and most ambitious technicians this week converged on Las Vegas and for the next four days will show off the highest in high-tech gadgetry, from homes that can tell the time to kitchens that tell you how to cook.
Panasonic, Samsung and Sony are among the manufacturers gathering for a week of product demos and showcases of the ‘next big thing in tech’.
The tech geeks and the trade press are “ooh-ing” and “aah-ing” over the coolest and smartest of devices, however, most of the products on show are only prototypes – the final products might not be ready to buy for years if ever, and those that do reach the store shelves will be prohibitively expensive.
That’s not to say there aren’t exciting gizmos available for purchase, as makers of smartphones and tablet computers go head-to-head in a battle to out-do and out-sell their rivals.
While market research group GfK expects 2013 to see only a 4% growth in tech sales, smartphones and tablets are expected to grow by more than 20%.
So, while CES might have bright, jazzy presentations about the next generation of tech, the industry’s success this year is in the hands of consumers, literally. Smartphone and tablet makers have taken to the web to win over customers and steal them from their rivals.
