#CannesYouFeelIt – Sarah Wood Introduces Unruly’s New Vertical Video Format
Unruly kicked off Cannes in style yesterday by launching its new vertical video format aboard News Corp’s yacht, the Panthalassa.
Co-founder Sarah Wood and Dominic Carter, chief commercial officer for News UK, presented the new format to a packed room of around 80 guests, including journalists from titles such as The Drum, Lions Daily, Campaign and Marketing Week.
The new format – launched in partnership with The Sun, The New York Times and Moat – displays ads the same way viewers consume videos on their mobile devices, allowing advertisers to unlock the power of mobile video.
But before taking to the stage, Sarah took time out of her busy Cannes schedule to explain the new format in more detail. She also talked about the other things Unruly is up to during Cannes week, including giving tours of the Future Video Lab and letting people try out the very popular Emoji Wall (pictures below).
