Unruly & News UK Shortlisted For CIM Marketing Excellence Awards
Unruly has been shortlisted for two CIM Marketing Excellence Awards.
News UK and Unruly are finalists in the ‘Best Partnership Marketing Campaign’ category for our collaborative marketing efforts at last year’s Cannes Lions. Unruly and Alpha Grid have also been shortlisted in the ‘Best Use of Data and Insight’ category for our joint research on the online video habits of business leaders.
The CIM Marketing Excellence Awards, now in their 8th year, identify and celebrate outstanding marketing by organisations, individuals and teams.
As well as launching Unruly’s vertical video format at Cannes Lions 2016 in partnership with Moat, News also hosted a Take That! concert. Unruly also recreated its Future Video Lab aboard The Sun yacht and launched its first-ever ad campaign, the UnAd.
Unruly also sponsored the 1.6km ‘red’ carpet that ran all the way down to the main staircase in the conference centre, plus an emoji wall (below) so delegates could express how they felt during the festival.
Other finalists in the Best Partnership Category include Ernst & Young and ITV. Winners will be announced at the Grosvenor Hotel in April. Best of luck to all the finalists!
Unruly and production company Alpha Grid have also been nominated in the Best Use of Data and Insight category, for their work on the Science of Business Sharing insights paper.
Findings from the year-long study into the online video habits of C-Suite executives of companies such as Google, Fujitsu, McKinsey, Deloitte, KPMG and the Boston Consulting Group included more than half of business leaders never use their mobile phones to watch videos while evenings were by far the most popular viewing times.
