Support the Office and Events Manager on a whole range of things including but not limited to: recruitment of interns, social media management, event coordination and office management duties, ensuring our Global culture is maintained across the Unrulyverse.

WANTED:  A super-organised multitasker, who is resourceful, proactive, logistical, and energetic, with a passion for taking care of your workplace like it’s your own home and your fellow colleagues like they’re your own family. You will also be a friendly, hands-on support for the People Team and ready to roll up your sleeves and jump into any task at hand.

You’ll report into the Office and Events Manager of Unruly’s London HQ and you will be part of the Global People Team. Your role will involve a varied mixture of office management, events and HR responsibilities.

The role is ideal for someone who is in their first Office Management/ HR role or who would like to start their career in this sort of role. This role would suit someone who believes variety is the spice of life and thrives on using every one of their wide range of skills each day. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, people wrangling abilities, strong social media skills. They will also have a ‘get things done’ attitude with a built in crystal ball to foresee all eventualities, allowing you to always one step ahead. This is a busy role with lots of variety – so you will be an unflappable, high-capacity person who loves to juggle multiple priorities. This person will have a passion for organisation, people and events. Your responsibilities will include (but are not exclusive to):

  • Supporting the People Team with filing and paperwork
  • Recruitment of Interns
  • Supporting the Intern training process, in partnership with Front of House.
  • General Desk/Team move coordination in partnership with People Advisors.
  • Supporting the Office and Events manager with internal cultural events (Christmas/Summer Parties, monthly socials, quizzes and more!)
  • Ensuring culture initiatives are rolled out across the Unrulyverse
  • Managing and organising the People Team recruitment inbox on a daily basis
  • Supporting the People Team on ad hoc projects
  • End to end event management support including organising refreshments, meeting rooms, booking flights and accommodation
  • Ensuring the office space is always presentable
  • Expected to sit on Front of House occasionally in order to support the team and to cover sickness/absence/gaps in the FoH schedule as needed.

About You: Experience

You must have experience in:

  • Fast-paced administrative roles
  • Dealing with a variety of stakeholders (from important clients, to senior managers and executives.)
  • Managing a small reception/front of house team, committed to the quality of guest experience.
  • Finance – checking invoice accuracy, tracking costs and working to a budget.
  • Managing cultural events from start to finish.
  • Previously solved problems in real-time, created work-arounds, and improved processes to prevent issues happening again in the future.
  • Working in a demanding environment with fantastic attention to detail

  • A skilled multi-tasker, able to prioritise multiple incoming requests and think on your feet about the most effective way to address these quickly.
  • Excellent at time management – prioritising tasks to meet tight deadlines, able to juggle multiple tasks without getting tired. You are a really safe pair of hands.
  • A strong communicator, both written and verbally, always in keeping with Unruly’s values and tone of voice.
  • …. and the kind of natural communicator who knows when information is confidential or otherwise sensitive. You can also be totally discreet when needed
  • An expert at anticipating eventualities – always one step ahead and looking to minimise business disruption.
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail – able to ensure events are running seamlessly, everything in the office is functioning to its highest standard (and everything in between!).
  • Able to form and nurture great working relationships, from Unruly suppliers, to candidates and Unruly teams.
  • Practical and logical – You know how to deal with ad hoc questions and requests

About You: Education & Qualifications

  • Honours-level degree or equivalent preferred (University of Life also counts)
  • Proven commitment to ongoing development of your professional skillset
