Management Accountant (Part Qualified) – London

WANTED: We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our awesome Finance team. You will take ownership of the production of a number of companies within the Group’s consolidated management accounts and ensure these are delivered accurately and to deadline. You’ll probably be working in the media industry as a Management Accountant currently, and might be seeking the opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-growth tech company.

You will be a key member of our global Finance team as we look to provide timely, quality management information to the EMEA, North America and APAC regions. You will also help implement and enforce company wide policies whilst assisting the rest of the Finance team to achieve monthly and quarterly objectives. Contract Type:  Permanent

Working Hours: Full time (9.30am to 6pm, Mon – Fri)

About the Role: Mission

Your mission will be to:

  • Take ownership of the production of a number of the companies P&Ls within the Group’s consolidated management accounts and ensure these are delivered accurately and to deadline.
  • Reconcile all Balance Sheet Accounts monthly
  • Produce monthly commentary & meet with MDs to discuss territory performance 
  • Reconcile intercompany balances on a monthly basis
  • Liaise and co-operate with both internal audit and external audit bodies.
  • Assist in the preparation of Budgets & Forecasts 
  • Review financial operational controls & processes
  • Producing high quality ad hoc financial information for MDs & CFO

About You: Experience

You must have:

  • 2+ years experience in a Management Accountant role 
  • Experience producing management information to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrable experience identifying and explaining significant variances
  • Experience of intercompany invoicing and reconciliations
  • Demonstrated experience of effectively working with a variety of inter-departmental stakeholders at different levels
  • Worked in multiple currencies and treating FX correctly preferred
  • A media background, digital media preferred

As the Finance intern you will be responsible for tracking and reporting key information primarily related to our programmatic business and helping support the finance team across a variety of tasks.  Programmatic is Unruly’s fastest growing revenue stream and one that we will be putting the most emphasis on over the coming years so this is a really interesting role.

You will be supporting the Management Accountants, FC & CFO providing them with programmatic figures, analysis and reports as required. You will be a key contact between the Programmatic, Operations, Sales and Business Development teams globally, assisting with tracking and providing data, running reports and investigating queries. You will become familiar with our revenue tracking systems knowing where to pull data from as required and completing reconciliations using Excel.

At month end you will be responsible for the programmatic revenue recognition end to end process.  

You will also work as part of the Front of House team to keep our London HQ office running smoothly to ensure Unrulies love their workplace, and external guests have a great experience 🙂
